Mar 08 2010 - Kailua Beach...

View from Mukolua Island

Hello world...

As we were enjoying our breakfast and looking out over the beach, we saw the most wonderful rainbow. One side was still raining, but on the other side, no rain… no rainbow.

We got on the bus at 9 am beading to Kailua Beach (about 1 hour from Waikiki). On the way, we stopped at Pali Lookout. It was a “little” windy… we had a lot of fun taking pictures, breathing the fresh air all the way down to our toes and laughing at the wild chickens there.

We got back to the bus and headed to Kailua, considered one of the best beaches in Hawaii. However, we would rank it as the best beach in the world. The blue waters, white sand and palm trees were so amazing. Some students enjoyed the beach and others went kayaking.

The group at the beach spent the day enjoying the water, playing ball and tanning. The view impressed everybody and nobody could really believe that they were on the beach in Hawaii!!!

The kayaking group got ready for an awesome adventure. We went out to the clear blue Pacific. Everybody was so ready that even the instructors said everybody did awesome! We had a few stops before Mokulua Island. The waves were challenging, but it was so worth it. When we got to the island and saw the perfect white untouched beach, we realized we were going to spend some time and enjoy our lunch.

After this fantastic day, everybody took a shower and we went for dinner… we had a buffet dinner and after, we had some free time.

Now we are looking forward to a goon night of sleep, so we can rock it out again tomorrow (and see some surfers!)…

Aloha…

Thanks for shaering your experiences - it looks like you are having a wonderful time.
It's fun to think about the time difference is 11 hours (DK/Europe).
    Enjoy your week.
